Weapons with 3 different proffession mods
I got wand rq Fire magic, HCT Illusion and HSR Spawning Power. It is not the first time I got such item in Cantha. I know they drop since the beginning of times but I wonder if it is not actually a bug since there is no way someone can use triple profession on one character for item to be actually useful. What do you think? If it can be considered as bug I will post and screen and make topic in Bug section.

I don't know if it's a bug or not..i've always thought that the code selects randomly the weapons' upgrades..i mean, there's some chance for every weapon to come with an upgrade of another attribute IMHO, so i would think that this is not a bug, but only the way the code works, but i haven't any accurate information on this subject.

I assumed the attributes were random. There really isn't much you can do about it. Using inscriptions will guarantee the attributes match though (the inscription provides the bonus on the attribute of the weapon requirement).

The problem is those are Canthan items which are uninscribable. It means that you can get rq9 drop with maxed HCT HSR mods but which will be useless since 3 different professions attributes are used.

These are actually the most amazing items in the game, since they are clear evidence of the existence of a race of tri-professional aliens who descended from outer space and helped to civilize early humans in Guild Wars, just like they did in Mexico.

Actually, its working as intended. The drop tables are fully random.
Reason is the ammount of golds one can find. Players have no problems getting 20/30/40 golds per day by going after chests. If there wasnt a huge load of junk in there, there wouldnt ever have been a market or reason to go after gold drops. |

@OP. I don't think this is a bug, just some system that Guild Wars developed. And why change it? It makes it more exiting if your item you ID is good or not. And for as a wand; Only the damage is bound to the attribute not the bonuses. So if you have a q9 fire HCTheal20% HCTprot% wand, you can still use it on a monk for the bonusses only not for the damage. |
